The Startling Servant

Today is the beginning of Holy Week with what the Christian church calls Palm Sunday. It is the day that the church remembers Jesus' beginning movements to the cross, the grave, the resurrection and eventually His ascension with it all starting with His entry into Jerusalem. Our focus today and this week takes us to look at Jesus as the startling, suffering and supreme Servant of God through the lens of Isaiah 52 and 53. The grace of God in Jesus has come to us. He is the Servant of God who has come to give us everlasting life. Jesus suffered, died and rose again for us in obedience to the Father's will because He longed for us to have faith and hope in God. He is our great Victor and we celebrate that today and this entire week.
