Matthew: To Know Jesus is To Be Ready
Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Standalone Sermon, Not Part of a Series Topic: Second Coming Passage: Matthew 25:1–25:13
Matthew 25.1-13: As we continue in our study of Matthew, we come to a marvelous and rich parable of simplicity. The context of this parable is the sudden and unexpected Second Coming of Jesus. Jesus’ call is for readiness, that we would be prepared for His appearing at any moment. This parable brings to the surface a sobering reality that there are those who may look like genuine Christians, but in all reality there is no light or life of the gospel in them. So, may we all be prepared for the coming of Jesus.
