Matthew: Don't Be a Pharisee, Be a Servant
Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Matthew's Gospel: The King and His Kingdom Topic: Hyprocrisy Passage: Matthew 23:1–23:12
Matthew 23.1-12: Over the next few weeks our study of Matthew's Gospel turns to Jesus' condemnation of the Pharisees and their legalism. As we look into Jesus' words we see hard words against the Pharisees and also lessons for us when it comes to truly living as a servant of Christ. In reality, we all struggle at times with Pharisaic tendencies. Today's passage reveals the struggles of the religious leaders while causing us to search our own heart.
