William Carey preached one of the most influential sermons of all time, as he encouraged his hearers to expect great things from God and to attempt great things for God.  His text was Isaiah 54.2-3.  God has great things for His church.  He is growing His church and spreading His name to the ends of the earth through His people.  Let us with great joy move forward in faith, not being help back, but with boldness spread the gospel.  Let us expect God to do great things and then attempt great things for His glory.
