The Grace of God's Provision
Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Designed to Work Topic: work Passage: Luke 10:25–37
Since the beginning of time, God is revealed as our great provider. We see God providing for Adam and Eve, for the Israelites, for people through Jesus’ ministry and today. Throughout the gospels, Jesus teaches that living in God’s kingdom means looking to God, rather than human effort, as the ultimate source of the things we need for life. Our labor is not optional, but neither is it absolute. Our labor is always a participation in the grace of God’s provision. Today we look at a familiar parable to encourage us to be hard workers who participate in the grace of God’s provision with a heart of compassion.
