The Workplace as a Mission Field

When we think of the mission field we often think of someone serving as a missionary in a foreign land.  But as one has said, “your mission field is the land between your two feet.”  Where do our two feet spend a good deal of their time at?  For most of us it is work.  In fact, when we look at Jesus’ 132 public appearances in the New Testament, 122 were in the workplace.  Of the 52 parables He told, 45 had a workplace context.  Jesus used the workplace as the setting to reach many people and He longs for us to do the same.  The workplace is the most strategic place for evangelism in America, and every workplace follower of Christ has an unprecedented opportunity to be a significant spiritual influence in the lives of people with whom he or she works.  Today, we look at the influence we can have.
