Delight in the Word and Don't Waste Your Life

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Sacred Psalms Topic: Biblical Passage: Psalm 119:33–40

Psalm 119.33-40: Our world has many different views of the bible.  Some believe it to be an ancient book of fables, legends, history, and moral precepts recorded by man, while there are some who believe it to be the actual word of God and is to be taken literally, word for word.  What do you think about the bible?  I heard a great quote from David Platt two week’s ago while with the students at camp and he said, Read the bible like your life depends on it, because it does.  I love that.  Do you feel that way about the bible?  In Psalm 119, we find that the psalmist feels that way about God’s Word, as he delights in it and desires to obey it, so that he does not live a wasted life, but instead a life that is lived for the glory of God.
