The Prevailing Gospel

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: iWitness Topic: Gospel Passage: Acts 19:8–20

Acts 19.8-20: People in our world are grasping for anything. It might be a good luck charm or even “Buddha on a treadmill”. Yes, I know that brings a laugh possibly, but it is real and shows just how great the darkness is today. This was the condition of Ephesus in the day of Paul. Ephesus was deep in the darkness of satanic activity and immorality of both mind and body. Paul mounted an assault on the darkness that was prevailing in the city and by the power of God the gospel prevailed as many turned and believed in Jesus. How do we mount such an assault with such prevailing effects? Today we will look at what truly overcomes the darkness.
