A Passion to Make Disciples

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: iWitness Topic: Evangelism Passage: Acts 15:35– 16:10

Acts 15.35-16.10: What are you passionate about this morning? Is it your job? Is it a hobby you have? As we look at today’s scripture text, we see that the apostle Paul is passionate about Jesus and His name being spread throughout the nations. There was a time stoppage on the mission path with dealing with the doctrine of salvation and once things landed on the message of one is saved by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus alone Paul got back to it. There was no time to waste. He was passionate to proclaim Jesus and go disciple the new believers he had visited before. We must continue as a church to be passionate about Jesus and His call for us to make disciples who go and make disciples. There can be obstacles along the way, but God chooses the right people and puts us in the right place, so that we can present the only message that truly saves. Do you have a passion to see people come to know Jesus? Do you have a passion to see people grow in spiritual maturity? Let’s ask Jesus to give us that passion as a church and let’s jump in with both feet in the work of making disciples.
