Uncommon Hope
Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: uncommon Topic: Advent Passage: Romans 15:7–13
Romans 15.7-13: The season of advent is filled with waiting, looking and expectation. This was the experience of the prophets of old and the godly of Israel who were awaiting the visitation of God in the coming Messiah who was promised to bring redemption. There were those before Jesus’ day who were looking for the Messiah’s coming. As followers of Jesus we are to be waiting and looking expectantly for Jesus’ second advent. As we wait, what are we truly placing our hope in? Many in our world are placing their hope in anything but Jesus from wealth, their job, relationships and security (a false since at that). That is the common, but as we believe in the God of hope may we truly have an uncommon hope.
