Seizing the Moment

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: The Gospel: An Unchanging Hope in an Ever-changing World Topic: Gospel Passage: Colossians 4:2–6

Colossians 4.2-6: Today we wrap up our sermon series on the gospel. As we do, we look at the call for us to communicate the gospel to a world that is indifferent to God. As we saw last week in Romans 1, the stream and current of our time is drifting toward destruction and away from heaven. You and I are called to stand in the current doing everything we can do with the opportunities we have to go against the culture’s flow and point people Jesus. This is what Christianity does. It is a way of living that proclaims the gospel. So, today what if we were to think differently throughout the day? What if we were praying and actively looking for opportunities to enter a spiritual conversation and speak of Jesus? This is what Christianity is to do. It is a converting, evangelistic, persuasive and expansive effort that wins souls. May we be praying church that wins souls for Jesus.
