An Unchanging Hope in an Ever-changing World

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: The Gospel: An Unchanging Hope in an Ever-changing World Topic: Gospel Passage: Genesis 3:1–3:24

Genesis 3: Think about the last 365 days and the world we live in. Wow, how things have changed. Now think about this Summer and how the world is different since the kids got out of school until today. No doubt the world is changing at an ever-increasing pace. The rise of evil acts and lawlessness is increasing. In the midst of such an ever-changing world we do not have to fear. We are not hopeless. We have an unchanging and everlasting hope. Over the next three weeks we will look at the gospel and how Jesus is the only hope for our world and for us. We will look at what the gospel really is; two mind-sets that wage war against the gospel; how the gospel is not just an entry-door, but where Christians get their daily living from; and how we are to communicate such a message to a world that is indifferent to God. We all can probably remember what it was like when we had unbelief in Jesus, but we know now the great reality of God’s love firsthand. I pray we would overflow with gratitude and praise to God over these three weeks for the hope that He has given us in Christ and the sure foundation that we can stand on each day. If you are not a believer or not sure what you believe, we’d like you to take away what is taught today and think about it and consider what God has done. God’s love is truly amazing. Let’s be blown away by it today.
