If God’s people fast, prayerfully repent, and hold a solemn assembly together what might happen? Will God act? If He does act when and how? In Joel chapters 2 and 3 we receive some answers.
Some of God’s promises are fulfilled immediately. We like that!
Other promises find fulfillment in our future. That gives us something to enjoy later.
Yet other promises come true in the far future when Christ returns. That gives us hope.
Some blessings we know for certain God will send. Today we will discover those. But other blessings come only in the timeline of God. We cannot force them in any way. We can only be obediently doing the things God desires and enjoy His gifts when He sends them.
Finally we will discover the hope of the future that God’s Holy Spirit instills in us. A hope for the future that will not disappoint us nor our future generations.
Remember, all of this is dependent on God’s church fasting, repenting, and praying consistently and together.
