Transformation: Worshipping God with All of Our Life

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Transformation Topic: Worship Passage: Romans 12:1–12:2

Romans 12.1-2: Our theme for 2015 is Transformation, becoming who we are in Christ. By the mercy and grace of God we are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5.17). Just as Christ’s appearance was changed in His transfiguration (Matthew 17) we are made into a new form. As a new creation in Christ, we are now to become who we are in Christ (1 Corinthians 5.7). We are to continue in being transformed more and more into the image of Christ (2 Corinthians 3.18). In 2015, our desire is for transformation in our lives and in the lives of others. It is time for change. We all need changed more and more into the image of Christ.

As we begin today in looking at Romans 12, we will see how a life being transformed presents their whole life to God as worship. What we do with our body and our living matters. As those who have experienced the merciful act of God’s salvation in Christ, every act of our body in living should be an act of worship. So, may every act in our living display that Christ means more to us than anything else.
