Jonah: The Church and Nineveh Revived

Could you imagine being spit out on dry land after being in a fish for three days and then called to travel to a city to preach to a people you still really don’t like? Could you imagine being a people in a city where you wake up and everything is status quo and you think nothing of a stranger who is traveling through the city until, the two collide as this stranger opens his mouth? That is what happens in Nineveh, as God revives a prophet’s heart to follow Him in obedience in bringing His message to this great city and as a result the entire city is awakened to believe and turn to God. The message shared is simple and clear, but the power of God pierces hearts to humble an entire city. May we, as God’s representatives be awakened to such obedience and see a city awakened to the mercy of God.
