Ephesians: Stand Firm

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Ephesians: The Church's Identity and Mission Topic: stand firm Passage: Ephesians 6:10–6:24

Ephesians 6.10-24: Today we close our series on Ephesians. As we do the tone of the letter ends with great urgency due to the great threat that we as followers of Christ are under. We often forget that Christianity is a battleground. It is definitely not a playground. The enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy (John 10.10). He wants to destroy our lives, our homes, our work and literally everything. As we have seen over the last few weeks and throughout the letter, God has given us the goal of growing in maturity and commands to obey. This week God tells us to resist the enemy. As we seek to grow in maturity and obey God’s commands it will not be automatic, nor easy. We are in a battle, but we must remember the victory has been won by God in Christ. We must now stand and preserve what has been won by God’s help.
