January 19 | Make Jesus Known
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28.19-20

Reading: Matthew 28

Does Jesus have authority over your life?  If He does, then today’s text gives us a mission and a purpose to which all who claim Jesus as Lord and Savior should be obeying and living out daily.  We are called to go and make disciples.  Disciple-making and teaching others occurs not just in classrooms, in fact, mainly not, but in life together.  It is inviting others into your life, modeling the gospel and grace of God to them.  And the goal is that they would go multiply what has been poured into them into a life of another.

Prayer: Lord, help me see this commission of Jesus to His disciples as a commissioning of me to this great task of disciple making.  By the power of your Spirit send me into my spheres of influence with a disciple making heart.  Help me be sensitive to those around me, their needs and ultimately their spiritual need that I would be ready to share the hope of Jesus.
