February 4 | The Gospel of Christ Is Life
“For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?” 2 Corinthians 2.15-16

Reading: 2 Corinthians 2

There is nothing greater than the smell of something great, whether freshly-ground coffee brewing, flowers, or some Texas barbeque.  When people respond to the gospel with faith-filled repentance, get there living from the gospel, live a life of godliness and proclaim the gospel of Christ a sweet-smelling aroma ascends to God.  To those being saved, the gospel is a lovely perfume of life everlasting; but to those who are perishing it is a stench of death eternal.  Let us love the gospel and glorify Jesus with a courageous testimony, as nothing pleases God more.

Prayer:  Lord, thank you for the gospel.  Thank you for Jesus and all He has done for me.  Let my life be a sweet-smelling aroma that pleases you.  Help me to be courageous and to glorify your Son through what I think, say and do.  Let me testify of the gospel and direct others to life everlasting.
