Ephesians: Awakened to Be Changed by the Truth

Ephesians 4.17-24: Over the last few weeks, we have heard how the church is to grow into the people they were made to be – loving, unified and mature. Today, Paul emphasizes that those who have been awakened by the truth of the gospel will live differently. We are called to no longer live the way we did before we came to Christ, but now by the renewing of our mind by God’s Word we are to put off our old way of thinking, attitudes and living. Now, as our mind is being renewed by the truth of God, we are to put on a new way of thinking, attitudes and living. May we be continually changed into the likeness of God by the renewing of our mind in God’s Word.
