Ephesians: The Ministry of the Body for the Building Up of Itself in Love

May 4, 2014 Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Ephesians: The Church's Identity and Mission

Topic: Church Passage: Ephesians 4:7–4:16

Ephesians 4.7-16: We learned last week, that as the church, we are to preserve and attain to a unity centered on the gospel, while bundled together in love. With this still in mind Paul speaks to how the church is enabled to attain to the goal of growing in maturity and be the fullness of Christ. So, this week we will look at why and how Christ has gifted every member to minister to the body for the building up of itself in love. Paul mentions specific roles Christ has given to the church for the equipping of every member, so that every member can minister to the body of Christ. May every member use their Christ given gifts for the building up of the body in love.
