Ephesians Introduction: Recapturing the Glorious Reality of the Church

March 2, 2014 Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Ephesians: The Church's Identity and Mission

Topic: Church Passage: Ephesians 1:1–1:2

Ephesians 1.1-2: Today we begin a new sermon series on Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus. Ephesians is a timeless letter about becoming what we are in Christ. The letter shows us who God is (theology), what God does (Christology), who we are in Christ (identity/ecclesiology) and as a result of identity in Christ what we do (mission). Our new identity radically effects how we live in the earthly realm. The call of Ephesians is for Christians to recapture the glorious reality of the local church.
