Generous Living: Part 3

2 Corinthians 8.16-9.5: The Apostle Paul continues to encourage the local church to generously give in our text today. Throughout the counsel of God’s Word we see that we are to give to the church for the support of its leadership, support of its ministries and for the support of people to help meet their basic needs. Today Paul shares practical steps to the administration of financial gifts given to the local church. There must be proper leadership, oversight, accountability and organization. Today we want you to be informed and know what to expect when it comes to the administration of giving here at The Ridge. Paul also shares what can hold the church at Corinth back in being generous with their resources and it is covetousness. We must also be on guard against such greed creeping in our local body so we do not miss out on gospel-shaped giving.
