Bible Reading: John 10.27-30

I wanted to take this first week of the New Year and share with you verses that have stirred my mind and hearts for years and have impacted my life greatly.  Jerry

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”  John 10.27-30

I remember as a college student being clearly called by God to ministry.  I was stopped right in my tracks and God had a different plan in mind.  During that time of calling I had some rough days.  I remember once I started following through with leaving the school I was at in West Virginia, coming home and then telling people to pray for me that the attacks from the enemy came flying at me.

Satan hates when we are active for the kingdom of God.  He loves when believers sit on the sideline and don’t do anything.  So, he will bring the heat when you truly deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Him.  For me, he came with accusations against me regarding my salvation and saying that I was not saved.

During that season My Advocate, Jesus Christ gave me these four verses in John 10 through the work of the Holy Spirit to encourage me that I was a child of God (John 1.12) and secure in the hands of the Father and the Son.  If you have believed in Jesus as your Lord and Savior let Jesus be your continued Advocate when accusations from the enemy come.  Don’t let him knock you off God’s track and miss His plan.  Be active in the kingdom of God and assured of God’s security.
